Learning more about the world of business, and gaining a chance to broaden her knowledge is a chance that she is eternally grateful for. She hopes to spend this week as a time for learning and bettering herself in an environment where she is surrounded by peers who share a similar interest in leadership and business.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 200;\">Suah Kwon is currently a rising sophomore within The Mary Louis Academy, entering the year enrolled in Honor, as well as Advance Placement classes. She&#8217;s been given the opportunity to be a member of the Service Learning Leadership program within her school, as well as a chance to be a Leader for a freshmen physical education class during her sophomore year. Suah constantly strives to be a leader within school-wide events, whether that be the Hallway Captain for her schools spirit week, or the secretary for her freshwoman class. Additionally, Suah is a active member of the Project Earth club, as well as the Adopt-A-Grandparent club within her school.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 200;\">Suah is looking forward to meet successful members within the business world, and hopefully learn more about the future which she is interested in. Despite the challenges he faced growing up, Shuaibu's determination and passion drove him to seek out an apprenticeship under an experienced barber. Through his apprenticeship, Shuaibu learned intricate techniques, attention to detail, and professionalism. Eventually, he was given opportunities for more hands-on training under supervision. Through this, Shuaibu was able to develop his skills in professionalism and customer service.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Though Shuaibu is deeply passionate about his work as a barber, he sometimes struggles with challenging customers and the physical strain that comes with the job. Shuaibu grew up an orphan with his uncle. Though Shuaibu was able to attend secondary school, he was unable to finish due to a lack of support. Shuaibu's in-laws have also passed on. In addition to his wife, he had committed to taking care of her siblings as well. As a result, Shuaibu's family shares a tight-knit bond. He values the importance of family and prioritizes maintaining a supportive and nurturing environment for his children. Their lifestyle is modest, but comfortable, and emphasizes personal growth and education. Though they are doing better, Shuaibu is determined to keep working toward financial freedom. In order for Mr. Yakubu&#8217;s business to succeed, a long-term advertising plan must be implemented that will garner the attention of potential customers and increase customer loyalty.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-custom-lineheight\" style=\"font-size:17px;font-style:normal;font-weight:300;line-height:1.3\">This advertising plan, as outlined in the proposal, will detail our brand&#8217;s logo, name, and marketing materials. These materials include a storefront sign, flyers, and business cards, which will be located in areas of high traffic and spread throughout the community. Ultimately, our job is to create a comprehensive plan for Mr. Yakubu that will increase the traffic he sees in his shop and allow him to properly expand his customer base.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-custom-lineheight\" style=\"font-size:17px;font-style:normal;font-weight:300;line-height:1.3\">Our plan as the advertisement team is to provide Mr. Yakubu with the resources needed to properly advertise his business. She provided us with a crash course in advertising and marketing, in which we learned essential components of an effective marketing campaign. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-custom-lineheight\" style=\"font-size:17px;font-style:normal;font-weight:300;line-height:1.2\">Our work with Ms. Brooks was essential in preparing us for our culminating pitch deck presentation.
