Explore a career in medicine and diagnose a real patient — before you graduate high school.
The Advanced Medical & Public Health Internship is a first-of-its-kind accelerated internship that pairs motivated high school students with medical pioneers from across the globe to train the next generation of doctors.
Throughout the program, interns will grapple with controversial medical issues and work in small groups to develop extensive public health campaigns. Interns will advocate for their campaigns in front of a team of medical experts with top presentations being implemented in the fall of 2026.
On the final day, interns will diagnose a patient in sub-Saharan Africa over a video call with a doctor in real-time and recommend treatment and future prevention methods. Leadership Initiatives will cover the cost of all treatments, allowing students to have a direct impact on their patient improving the lives of individuals in need.
Interns work directly with doctors from international organizations and medical experts in the fields of Surgery, Neuroethics, Sports Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Public Health from the nation's premier hospitals and medical institutions. Interns walk away from the program with direct experience and knowledge to begin a career in medicine.
